ID Nights & Player Identification
Open to Players from All Clubs | Multiple Development Levels | Seasonal EvaluationsFinding the Right Development Environment for Every Player
At FutsalRVA, we recognize that every player develops at a different pace and brings a unique combination of technical abilities, game understanding, and experience. Our Player Identification (ID) events are designed to evaluate players and help identify the most appropriate development environment for their individual needs.
These events provide an opportunity for players to demonstrate their abilities in a positive, challenging, and competitive setting while being evaluated by the FutsalRVA coaching staff.
How Player Identification Works
During ID events, players participate in futsal activities and game situations that allow our coaches to observe key aspects of their development, including technical ability, decision-making, game awareness, creativity, and overall readiness for competitive futsal.
Our evaluation process focuses on understanding each player's current abilities and potential, rather than judging performance based on a single skill or isolated moment.
Because players develop at different rates, the FutsalRVA Academy is organized into multiple developmental and competitive levels. Following the evaluation process, selected players are placed in groups that best match their abilities, developmental needs, and readiness.
This approach helps create balanced training environments where players can be appropriately challenged, build confidence, and continue progressing throughout their development journey.
Who Can Participate?
FutsalRVA ID events are open to players from all soccer clubs and communities, regardless of their previous futsal experience or current competitive level.
Players do not need to leave their existing soccer clubs to participate in the Academy. Our program is designed to complement their regular soccer development by providing additional technical training and competitive opportunities through futsal.
