The FutsalRVA Academy is our premier year-round development program, designed for boys and girls ages U8–U14 who want to improve their technical ability, game understanding, and confidence through a structured futsal training and competitive environment.
Our Academy brings together players from different soccer clubs, creating an opportunity to train and compete alongside others with similar abilities, goals, and commitment to development. The program is designed to complement, not replace, a player's regular soccer club experience. We believe futsal plays an important role in developing the technical and decision-making skills that translate directly to the outdoor game.
How the Academy Works
Players participate in a year-round program that combines structured training sessions with competitive opportunities, including league play, tournaments, and selected regional and national competitions.
Training is led by qualified coaches who emphasize technical development, intelligent decision-making, creativity, and confidence in game situations. The fast-paced nature of futsal encourages players to develop close ball control, improve their awareness, solve problems in tight spaces, and make quicker decisions under pressure.
Because every player develops at a different pace, the Academy offers multiple competitive levels. Players are grouped according to their current abilities, developmental needs, and readiness, ensuring that each participant trains in an environment that provides the appropriate level of challenge.
Our goal is not simply to prepare players for the next competition, but to build the technical foundation, understanding, and habits that support their long-term development.
Development Beyond Futsal
FutsalRVA has become part of the development journey of players who have progressed to MLS and ECNL academies, NCAA Division I programs, and professional and international soccer environments.
While every player's pathway is different, our commitment remains the same: provide a positive, challenging, and competitive environment where players can develop their abilities, grow in confidence, and reach their individual potential.
