As many as 100 competitive teams will compete in the seventh edition of the event across venues in the Greater Richmond, Virginia area.

Competing boys and girls teams from the U8 to U18 age groups will play at least three games each over the course of the weekend, and many will play four as they advance through the group stages and elimination rounds.   

For the Jefferson Open FutsalRVA Tournament, up to 12 players are permitted on each team, with the oldest child determining the age level.

Teams are guaranteed 3 games but many teams last year played 4 games.  Preliminary Games are on Saturday and Playoff and Consolation Games are on Sunday.  Games will be 40 minutes long for U8-U12 and 48 minutes long for U13-U18.

Tournament Details

The Tournament will take place over two weekends in December.

Teams are guaranteed a minimum of 3 games with many teams playing 4 games.

    (2012-2008)

  • 48 minute Games for U13-U18
    (2007-2002)

  • U-Turn Sports (4 fields)

  • The Annex

Cost: $500 per team


 


ABOUT FUTSALRVA

FutsalRVA is an affiliated league of US Soccer and sanctioned by United States Youth Futsal. Since its beginning in 2007, FutsalRVA has been one of the largest youth Futsal leagues in the United States. Last year FutsalRVA had 165 teams with over 1200 players participating, making it the 4th largest youth futsal league in the country and over 60 teams participating in the Mid-Atlantic Regional Tournament. The Regional Tournament is a qualifier for the National tournament. FutsalRVA has over 120 kids in both the Academy and Development Academy.

ABOUT THE RICHMOND STRIKERS

Founded in 1975, the Richmond Strikers are a non-profit organization committed to providing the Greater Richmond area with an effective, dynamic and progressive soccer club. The club is devoted to providing a developmentally appropriate structure for thousands of children ages 4-18 to experience the game of soccer at every level. It has over 2,500 players in its Recreation program each year and around 750 players in the Travel program.
