The Joe Farrell Classic
Named in memory of FutsalRVA co-founder Joe Farrell, one of the people who made the greatest positive and human impact on the Richmond soccer community, the Joe Farrell Classic is our summer tournament, open to any team looking to enjoy a great weekend of competitive futsal.
Now in its inaugural year, the first Joe Farrell Classic has just wrapped up at the Henrico Sports & Events Center, with the tournament set to return next summer.
When: Annually, each summer — 2nd edition next year
Where: Henrico Sports & Events Center
Who: Open to all clubs and teams
Inaugural Turnout (2026): 80 teams · 640 players
FutsalRVA Girls One-Day Winter Challenge
The FutsalRVA Girls One-Day Winter Challenge is a one-day futsal tournament designed for teams looking for a competitive, fast-paced, and well-organized environment.
Join us for a full day of fun, fast-paced futsal games — teams of similar age and competitive level are brought together for meaningful competition. With small brackets, certified referees, and every game producing a winner, the format is designed to create intensity, decision-making under pressure, and a competitive experience from start to finish.
All games and bracket play will be completed in one day.
Location: The Commons at Hill City
Date: Saturday, January 30, 2027
Time: 8:00 AM–9:00 PM
Registration Deadline: January 15, 2027
Tournament Format
- 3 guaranteed games
- 4-team brackets organized by age and competitive level
- No ties — every game will have a winner
- Bracket standings determined by total points
- 4 courts
- Certified futsal referees
- USYF Futsal Rules
- Entire tournament completed in one day
Competitive Environment
Teams will be placed into brackets based on age and level to create balanced matchups and an appropriate level of competition.
The one-day format is designed to provide teams with meaningful games in a condensed schedule, giving players the opportunity to compete, adapt, make quick decisions, and experience the speed and intensity of futsal.
