New Technical Director

To lead the premier futsal program in the Mid-Atlantic, you need a leader who has lived the game at every level—from the professional captain’s armband to the NCAA Division I sidelines.

We are proud to officially announce Lucas Paulini as the new Technical Director of FutsalRVA.

Lucas is a household name in the Richmond soccer community and brings a world-class pedigree to the Mentee Academy family. Originally from Buenos Aires, Argentina, he combines a global tactical perspective with a deep understanding of the American pathway.

A Legacy of Leadership:

• Pro Experience: A former captain for the Atlanta Silverbacks (NASL) and a standout for our own Richmond Kickers.

• Collegiate Excellence: Spent 5 seasons as a key Assistant Coach at VCU, helping lead the Rams to a #12 national ranking and an Atlantic 10 Championship in 2023.

• Elite Development: Proven success as an MLS Next coach and a Director of College Planning, showing he knows exactly what it takes to get players to the next level.

The Connection: At the Mentee Academy, we talk about the “Cognitive Edge.” Lucas’s journey as a professional leader and an elite tactician makes him the perfect architect for our technical vision. Under his leadership, FutsalRVA will continue to bridge the gap between the technical training at Own Touch and high-intensity competition.
