Josh Gray will be our new Futsal Development Coordinator.
FutsalRVA is excited to announce that Josh Gray will be our new Futsal Development Coordinator. Josh will focus on developing and enhancing programs for our youngest athletes including Footy Mites, Juniors, and our seasonal development programs that lay the proper foundation for future futsal players.
Josh, originally from England, played four years of college soccer, was a two-time All American at Slippery Rock University, and also played a year with the Pittsburgh Riverhounds. Since then Josh has been coaching at the collegiate NAIA level and NCAA division one level with VCU. Josh earned his bachelors degree in Fitness Management and his masters degree in Sports leadership and coaching. Josh has been involved in youth coaching with Own Touch Soccer for 2 years and will be an excellent fit for optimizing our younger development programs and supporting the growth of the game.
Futsal has become a year-round sport. Futsal has become a key component in developing a player's footwork, speed/agility and love of the game. Development of young, inspiring players is no longer JUST a fall and spring activity. Our younger grassroots programs will serve as great training opportunities for young, fun-loving players to get more touches and high-quality training throughout the year. By having training programs for all ages and levels, the players will have the chance to learn through enjoyable training and express themselves in a fun and positive environment, no matter what age.
