The Richmond Strikers and FutsalRVA will team up to host a fun, exciting and fast-paced Futsal Tournament at U-turn Sports and Randolph Macon College.

Anyone who wants to have a great soccer weekend can put a team in - travel teams, rec teams, several friends or neighbors - any combination of 12 players or less.  This year’s event will host teams from U8 to U18 in Competitive and Recreational divisions.  Competitive and Recreational brackets will be played in separate divisions. 

You’ll love the fast-paced play of Futsal games on one of our fantastic complexes.  It is a 5 v 5 small-sided game played on a hard surfaced, basketball sized court with a smaller, heavier low bounce ball. Futsal is played with touchline boundaries and without walls. The tournament runs on Saturday and Sunday (approx 9:00 am to 9:00 pm on Saturday and Sunday).

Teams are guaranteed 3 games but many teams last year played 4 games.  Preliminary Games are on Saturday and Playoff and Consolation Games are on Sunday.  Games will be 40 minutes long for U8-U12 and 48 minutes long for U13-U18.

A maximum of 12 players are permitted on each team and the oldest child will determine the age level.

Tournament Details

The Tournament will take place over two weekends in December.

  • Girls Weekend: December 9-11, 2022

  • Boys Weekend: December 16-18, 2022

Teams are guaranteed a minimum of 3 games with many teams playing 4 games.

  • 40 minute Games for U8-U12

  • 48 minute Games for U13-U18

ABOUT FUTSALRVA

FutsalRVA is an affiliated league of US Soccer and sanctioned by United States Youth Futsal. Since its beginning in 2007, FutsalRVA has been one of the largest youth Futsal leagues in the United States. Last year FutsalRVA had 165 teams with over 1200 players participating, making it the 4th largest youth futsal league in the country and over 60 teams participating in the Mid-Atlantic Regional Tournament. The Regional Tournament is a qualifier for the National tournament. FutsalRVA has over 120 kids in both the Academy and Development Academy.

ABOUT THE RICHMOND STRIKERS

Founded in 1975, the Richmond Strikers are a non-profit organization committed to providing the Greater Richmond area with an effective, dynamic and progressive soccer club. The club is devoted to providing a developmentally appropriate structure for thousands of children ages 4-18 to experience the game of soccer at every level. It has over 2,500 players in its Recreation program each year and around 750 players in the Travel program.
